Abbey's owner has been in the staffing industry since January of 1978. From 1978 through 1994 only permanent placements (direct hire) workers were placed into professional management positions. Some of the areas of expertise included retail, restaurant, finance, programmer analysts, accountants, and many office level positions .  In June of 1994, after receiving training in Knoxville, TN, Abbey Placements began placing workers into temporary assignments in addition to permanent placements.
 
Locally owned and operated, Abbey Placements began on February 1, 1982 in the old Unity Building in downtown Bloomington.  After the Unity Building fire in 1988, Abbey Placements moved to our present location at 2310 E. Oakland Ave on Bloomington's east side of town.

We strive to develop and maintain long standing relationships with our client companies.  We have many accounts with as few as 1-2 workers and we have maintained accounts with 60-100+ workers at a time!
